With its portfolio of rental properties now in excess of eight thousand homes, Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA) has added another Flowplant drain jetting unit to its existing drain cleaning equipment in order to cope with the extra demand.
With this new purchase, NCHA required a machine that could not only be used safely but could also be fully operated whilst all the vehicle doors are shut and locked. The answer was Flowplant’s Closed Door System. This enabled the NCHA’s new 4000 psi Flowplant Harben Lightpack, with radio remote control, to be operated even while the vehicle is fully locked and secured when the operator is working up to 100m away from the vehicle. This gives NCHA the peace of mind that the jetting unit and all the tools stored in the vehicle will be kept safe and secure during the jetting operation.
Assistant Manager Direct Maintenance Service, David Cox, commented: “We already have a trailer mounted DTB500 jetting unit from Flowplant; this machine has proved extremely reliable and we had no hesitation in contacting Flowplant again for our next purchase. Due to the environments we work in, it is now a requirement that the equipment can be operated whilst the vehicle is fully secure; the Flowplant Closed Door System has met all our needs.”
Flowplant’s well renowned Harben Lightpack drain jetter has continued to prove to be one of the most popular models of drain jetters Flowplant has ever produced. Fitted with Flowplant’s very own, unique Harben ‘run dry’ pump, the Harben Lightpack drain jetter is always the preferred choice for the contractor who is looking for reliability and performance for working in drains up to 350mm in diameter.
With all its operators also having full Water Jetting Association training provided by Flowplant, this new equipment will be an invaluable addition to NCHA’s fleet, ensuring the housing association continues to provide its clients with an efficient service.
