The industry-standard starting point for safe high-pressure water jetting.
This course combines the mandatory WJA Safety Awareness theory with the Drain, Sewer & Hand-Held Gun practical modules. It’s designed for operators to gain the skills, compliance, and confidence needed to work with high-pressure equipment in real-world environments.

Course details at a glance
- Cost: £395 +VAT (£474 inc VAT)
- Location: Flowplant Rotherham (Courses can be run at customer locations, please enquire)
- Duration: 2 Days (1 day classroom-based SA, 1 day split between classroom/practical DSG – follow links to book either day as a 1 day course)
- Times: 08:30 – 16:30 (Arrival from 08:15 for refreshments)
- Accreditation: City & Guilds Accredited | WJA Approved
- Validity: Certificates are valid for 3 years (1 day refresher courses available for those previously trained for safety awareness. Operatives must pass the Safety Awareness Refresher course every 3 years to retain WJA operational cards)
What’s Included?
- Materials: All training workbooks, WJA Codes of Practice (Digital access via WJA App), and stationery.
- Practical equipment for use during the course (delegates must bring their own PPE, you can order it in the shop.)
- Catering: Lunch, tea, coffee, and biscuits are provided at our Flowplant training centres.
- Technology: Use of the CLiKAPAD digital response system for interactive, stress-free assessments.

Certificate & Outcomes
Upon successful completion, delegates will receive:
- WJA Digital Operational Certificate and Jetting Card: Accessible via the WJA app for instant site verification. (Hard copy is at additional cost £15)
- City & Guilds Accreditation: A nationally recognised qualification.
- Enhanced Safety: The ability to identify risks and operate equipment in line with the latest WJA Codes of Practice.
- Compliance: Fully meets HSE requirements for high-pressure water jetting training.
