We are absolutely delighted to announce that Flowplant has been shortlisted in three categories for this year’s WJA Awards, recognising both our business and the talented people working every day to drive us forward.

Here’s the details:

πŸ† Flowplant – Manufacturer of the Year
πŸ† Chris Sutcliffe – Trainer of the Year
πŸ† James Boucher – Young Person of the Year

These nominations reflect our ongoing commitment to manufacturing excellence, workforce development, and investing in the next generation of engineering talent through our apprenticeship scheme.

Manufacturer of the Year

Being shortlisted for Manufacturer of the Year is recognition of the work carried out across every area of the business. From design and production through to aftersales service and customer support, our team is dedicated to delivering high-performance equipment that meets the demanding requirements of operators across multiple industries.

Over the past year, Flowplant has continued to develop innovative solutions, support customers with comprehensive service capabilities, and strengthen our position as a trusted British manufacturer of high-pressure water jetting and pumping equipment.

Trainer of the Year: Chris Sutcliffe

Chris’s nomination for Trainer of the Year recognises his outstanding contribution to training and skills development within the water jetting industry. Renowned for his practical approach and engaging delivery style, Chris has earned multiple five-star reviews and continues to receive excellent feedback across his cohorts.

His training methods are widely respected throughout the industry, with many considering him one of the leading trainers in the sector. Year after year, he continues to receive exceptional feedback for his ability to develop confidence, technical understanding and safe working practices, making him a deserving finalist in this year’s awards.

Young Person of the Year: James Boucher

We’re so pleased to see James Boucher recognised in the Young Person of the Year category.

James joined Flowplant as an apprentice and has made impressive progress during his two years with the company, developing from a production role in pump and trailer assembly to carrying out service visits and repairs independently. He credits Flowplant’s support and training for helping him grow his skills and confidence in engineering.

Today, James regularly undertakes servicing, fault finding and customer support work, helping customers return equipment to service quickly and efficiently. His enthusiasm for problem solving, commitment to customer service and willingness to learn make him a valued member of the Flowplant team.
