We know choosing the right WJA training course is an important decision for you and your team. If there’s something we haven’t covered here, or you just prefer to chat it through, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our friendly training team – we’re always happy to help you find exactly what you need.

Training Locations & Availability

Where do you offer WJA training?

We run regular open courses from our Salisbury and Rotherham training centres, covering the South and Midlands/North respectively. We can also deliver training at customer sites across the UK and internationally — ideal for keeping your operators in the field.

How often do you run the courses?

We hold frequent open courses at both sites. You can view upcoming dates online, or if nothing suits, contact our team and we’ll do our best to arrange a dedicated session for you.

Can you deliver training internationally?

Yes — we’ve delivered courses worldwide and can organise international training on request.

Courses & Requirements

What courses are available?

We deliver the full range of WJA-approved courses, including:

  • Safety Awareness
  • Drain & Sewer
  • Surface Preparation
  • Pressure Washing
  • Tube & Pipe Cleaning

Safety Awareness is a mandatory first module, taking a full day to complete the practical modules are usually undertaken the following day. You will need to allow for 2 full days to complete the safety awareness and a given module.

How long do the courses take?

Each module typically takes a day (Minimum 6 hours). Safety Awareness and a practical module can NOT be combined into a single day’s training.

What are the course requirements?

  • Candidates must be 18 or over (or 16+ if employed and enrolled on a structured training programme).
  • All delegates must bring the required PPE as outlined in the joining instructions.
No PPE will result in you having to redo the module
  • No previous experience is necessary — just a willingness to learn.

Do I need to bring any tools or equipment?

No — all equipment is provided. You’ll just need to bring appropriate PPE, as detailed in your booking confirmation.

Do you support learners with additional needs?

Yes — we can make reasonable adjustments for delegates with learning or access needs. Please let us know in advance so we can accommodate you.

Certification & Compliance

What qualification will I receive?

Successful delegates receive a WJA ID card and certificate, valid for 3 years. To keep your certification valid, you’ll need to complete a 1-day refresher within 3 months either side of expiry. If you miss this window, you’ll need to retake Safety Awareness and any expired modules.

Is WJA training a legal requirement?

While not legally required, WJA certification is often mandated by insurers, principal contractors, and HSE policies. It’s widely recognised as the industry standard for safe water jetting practices.

Group Bookings & Custom Sessions

Can I book for multiple employees?

Absolutely. We regularly run group sessions for contractors and teams — either on-site or at one of our training centres. Just get in touch and we’ll tailor a solution to suit.
